It’s now been five months since the GDPR came into force, but a huge number of companies are struggling to meet their obligations.
According to the latest figures, 70% of businesses are unable to address individuals’ requests for copies of their personal data – a core element of Articles 15 and 20 of the regulation.
Others said they had struggled to get their policies and procedures up to scratch and were adopting a head in the sand approach.
As of last month (September 2018) the Information Commissioners Office – the watchdog overseeing the GDPR in the UK – was yet to prosecute any non-compliant organisation. But that doesn’t mean they’re not going to, and it’s expected that those falling behind will be identified in the very near future.
If you’re struggling, let us help. Within just a few days we could get your organisation compliant with all of your data security requirements.
